Toneback Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: September 23, 2026

This policy explains how Earmonic Games Ltd handles information when you use Toneback: Sound Memory Game, visit its pages or contact support. An internet connection is needed when opening Toneback. After reaching the menu, Sound Match and Time solo can be played without a connection during that session. Flash solo needs a connection to start or resume. Online games, saved accounts, social features and subscriptions use the services described below.

1. Who is responsible

Earmonic Games Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17432593, is responsible for the information described here. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Contact support@earmonic.com for Toneback privacy questions.

2. Accounts and progress

Online play uses a Firebase account identifier, including for guest accounts. If you save an account, Firebase Authentication processes your email and authentication credentials. We use account identifiers, display names, match participation and results, coins, owned cosmetics, daily quest progress and league points to operate the game and restore your saved progress. Account linking preserves guest progress; signing in to another account loads that account instead.

Core solo play does not need a server connection. Sound playback and local appearance preferences are handled on your device.

3. Friends and multiplayer

We process friend codes, requests, accepted friendships, blocks and room invitations. Other players can see your chosen display name, equipped cosmetic and relevant game results. Accepted friends can see your online presence and invitations. Your email address, Firebase account identifier and purchase records are not included in social snapshots. Room codes are shared by players to invite others.

4. Subscriptions

Google Play handles payment details. RevenueCat validates purchases, restores subscriptions and keeps subscription status up to date. We send RevenueCat a pseudonymous identifier derived from your Toneback account identifier, rather than using your email as the billing identifier. Purchase information includes products, transactions, subscription expiry and renewal status, together with technical app, platform and network information needed for billing. The game server checks subscription status to permit private-room hosting. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

Subscription records are associated with the Toneback account that purchased them. Restore purchases while signed in to that same saved account.

5. Audio and permissions

Toneback generates the tones you hear on your device. It does not record your microphone, upload audio recordings or access your address book. Network access is used for online play, account recovery, purchases, product analytics and measurement of Toneback advertising campaigns. Toneback contains no in-game ads. The Android app does not collect the Android Advertising ID; this does not mean that all analytics and campaign measurement are disabled.

6. Purposes and providers

We use information to provide requested game and account functions, fulfill subscriptions, protect against fraud and abuse, resolve support requests and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in running and protecting the service, and legal obligations. Optional permission-based features rely on your choices.

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand first opens, onboarding, gameplay, feature usage and purchase-related activity and to improve Toneback. For Google Play installations, the app reads installation-referral information and sends bounded source, campaign and creative categories and, when available, the time between an advertising click and installation. The raw referral URL and absolute installation timestamps remain on the device. Our custom analytics parameters do not contain your email, username, Toneback account identifier, room code or recorded audio. Firebase also processes automatically collected app-instance, app, device and event information.

We use Meta App Events to measure Toneback app activations and installations associated with our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta receives app events and associated technical app/device information from its SDK; automatic events may also include supported purchase activity. Advertising-ID collection is disabled in Toneback's Meta integration. Measurement uses an internet connection and is distinct from showing ads inside the game. These transfers are reflected in our Google Play Data safety declaration.

Service providers include Google Firebase for authentication, cloud data and Google Analytics for Firebase; Meta for app-event and advertising-campaign measurement; Google Play for billing; RevenueCat for subscriptions; Oracle Cloud for the game server; and our website hosting and email providers. They may process information outside your country under applicable safeguards and have their own privacy notices. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Support and technical data

When you contact support, we receive your email, message and any attachments you choose to send. Hosting and security services may process IP addresses, connection times, request information and technical logs to deliver and protect the service. Do not send passwords, access tokens or complete payment details.

8. Delete your account or data

You can request deletion without reinstalling or opening Toneback. Email support@earmonic.com with the subject “Toneback account and data deletion”. Send from your saved account email if possible; for a guest account, include your friend code. We may request limited information to verify ownership. Never send a password.

After verification, we delete the Toneback account identity and associated company-controlled profile, progress, wallet, cosmetics and social records, and remove or de-identify your personal information in shared match records. We also address associated data with relevant service providers. Limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to be retained for those purposes. We will explain any applicable retention when handling your request.

Uninstalling the app does not erase cloud data. Deleting a Toneback account does not delete your Google account and does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription in Google Play to stop future renewal charges. Saved progress and cosmetics cannot be recovered after deletion.

9. Retention and your rights

Account and game information is retained while needed to provide your saved progress and online features. Support and technical records are kept only as long as needed for their purpose, security and applicable obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion, and may have rights to restrict or object to processing or receive portable data, depending on your location. Contact support to exercise these rights. You may complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

10. Children and updates

If a child has provided personal information without the necessary permission, a parent or guardian can contact us to request removal. Store age ratings and applicable parental permission requirements apply. We update this policy when the game or our practices change; the date above identifies the current version.
